Baltimore, Maryland (July 15, 2018)— High’s decided to partner with the American Red Cross again in light of the recent flooding this spring in Ellicott City, Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
Through a cold dispensed fountain promotion where $.10 of every cup sold was donated along with independent customer donations, High’s was able to raise $11,000 to aid those impacted by the floods. The promotion ran through the entire month of June at all locations.
High’s donated $11,000 to help those affected by recent flooding at a check presentation hosted at High’s 40 in Ellicott City last week. This event was the first of many to celebrate High’s 90th Anniversary and their commitment to the community.
“We have several stores in the area, two of which are in Ellicott City. The flooding hit close to home for us” said Meghan Harris, Advertising and Social Media Manager “We saw the problem first hand. The High’s team wanted to step up and be part of the solution.”
100% of the proceeds collected will be donated to the American Red Cross to support their relief efforts; contributions from customer and employees have an immediate impact on assistance provided by the American Red Cross.
